  1. Marathi Language Policy in Maharashtra

The government of Maharashtra has decided to implement the use of Marathi as mandatory in all government offices in the state.  This would be implemented in Government, Semi-Government and Local Self-Government organizations. The concept behind it is to promote the use of Marathi language and to provide facilities to the people of the region to conduct government activities in their own language.  Arrangements are being made to implement this policy, which will monitor the usage of Marathi language.

2. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s comments on the use of water

D.K. Shivakumar has commented on the problems of water management.  In response to deteriorating water shortages in Bangalore, they have expressed the need for inter-state coordination on water conservation, reuse and political contentiousness regarding water distribution.  States must work together with one another to have an availability of water in his opinion.

3. The New Approach to Foreign Policy

India has signed new bilateral agreements with Britain and Italy, expanding trade, defense, technology, and cultural exchange.  They are considered to enhance India’s global influence and are regarded as the largest step of the country’s foreign policy.  This will offer greater scope for India in industrial, economic, and cultural arenas.

  4. CBSE PRE-BOARD EXAMINATION SAMPLE PAPER

Sample sheets and their solution plan have been made public by CBSE for 2025 board exam preparation.  Students will be able to understand the exam pattern, question paper format and in what direction their preparation is going.  Sheets will help the students to boost confidence and identify weak spots.

  5. Success of Marathi Movie “Sabar Bonda”

Marathi film “Sabar Bonda” has won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.  This is a triumph of international acceptance of Marathi cinema and offers Marathi directors an opportunity to test their skills on an international platform.  The film comments on social causes and portrays stereotypical Marathi culture.

6. Indian Players’ Nominations for ICC Awards

Indian cricketers have also fared better at ICC award nomination for stellar performance.  

This nomination marks the international appreciation for Indian players’ performance and prowess.  

It also heightens the reputation of Indian cricket overseas.

  7. New Malaria Vaccine

India has developed an anti-malaria vaccine that will be particularly useful for tropical countries.  This vaccine is effective against certain types of malaria and will be a key contributor to the prevention of malaria transmission.  This research is a testament to the ability of Indian scientists.

  8. STEP TO NET ZERO EMISSIONS

India has launched a number of new initiatives to achieve the target of net zero emissions to address the impact of climate change.  Planting trees, reforestation protection, and carbon emission reduction efforts are some of these initiatives.  All these efforts are in line with India’s Paris Agreement commitment.

  9. Health Care Extension

The government launched new schemes to uplift health centers in rural communities. The schemes focus on expanding primary health centers, medical camps, and health education programs, which will facilitate access to quality health care for rural populations.

10. Artificial Intelligence Based Farming Technology

Indian governments have also brought artificial intelligence technology into agriculture, which will help farmers with crop planning, soil and climatic analysis, and pest control.  The technology will enhance agricultural productivity and reduce crop losses.

11. Virtual and Augmented Reality Technologies

New applications of virtual and augmented reality technologies are starting to find their way into the education, training, and entertainment markets.  As this technology is used to boost the complexity of real world experience for students, it is creating new types of experience in the entertainment industry.

12. Biofuel Development

It is proposed to increase the use of biofuel from sunflower, a novel eco-friendly source of energy.  This biofuel emits less carbon and, in all likelihood, can prove to be a lucrative industry for farmers too.  

  13. CONFERENCE FOR NEW RESEARCH IN UNANI MEDICINES

A big conference on new research in Unani medicine is taking place in Delhi.  The conference will link various traditional medicinal practices with modern medical research and will discuss the benefits of Unani medicines and their use along with modern medicine.

  14. Extension of Cleaning Staff Commission

The tenure of the National Commission for the Welfare of Sanitation Workers has been increased by three years.  The commission will strengthen the rights, health, and status of sanitation workers by empowering them to live a life of human dignity.

  15. ISRO’s New Space Mission

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) made an announcement to launch a new space mission along with the European Space Agency.  The initiative will be on new satellite releases and space study, which will showcase India’s space capabilities. 

16. NEW DEFENSE AGREEMENT

Under the newly signed defense agreement between Egypt and India, the two countries will advance bilateral cooperation in purchasing and selling defense equipment, technology transfer, and military exercises.  Both countries will benefit from heightened security in the agreement.

17. Innovation in Energy Sector

Innovations in the Indian energy sector are being displayed during India Energy Week.  These include alternative energy sources, energy-saving technology, and energy sector research that will drive the country towards energy independence.

18. Agricultural Innovations

The government has launched new farm schemes for farmers’ economic development.  The schemes are aimed at empowering farmers by providing them with modern farming technology, market access, and credit facilitation.

19. Rising Unemployment

There have been concerns regarding the rising numbers of unemployment in India.  There is a need to implement new measures towards job creation, especially among youth.  For this purpose, educational and vocational training schemes are stepped up by way of industrial sector promotion.

  20. SERIES OF EARTHQUAK

Tremors of the earthquake have occurred in various parts of the country, highlighting earthquake safety measures.  These happenings have raised a need for rethinking about building construction, disaster management programs and public educational initiatives.

 These occurrences point out major changes and events in India today, which will go a long way to contribute to the overall growth of the country.
